Tulipanes Patagonia is located on Route 259, 26 km from Esquel. The venture began in 1997 through the initiative of a local producer who invested in this tulip bulb project in the region. Combining business vision with favorable climatic and soil conditions, the results have been very positive since the beginning. Today, this initiative exports these beautiful flowers worldwide, mainly to Holland. Bulbs are planted in May and bloom in October, offering a spectacular display of color in a unique valley in this region and the world. Each year, the number of visitors from all over the country doubles to enjoy one of the most colorful postcards of Patagonia, a spring rainbow of tulips that contrasts with the imposing snow-capped mountains typical of the cordillera area. The visit to the field is self-guided, with a trail featuring 12 information stations about the tulips, the names of the mountains, and the history of the family business. It is important to respect the signage to avoid affecting the delicate crop. We complement this magical visit with a trip to the Nant y Fall vineyard and winery, an agrotourism establishment right next to the tulip field, where visitors can learn about the flour mill (replica) and enjoy the protected area with its beautiful waterfalls.
