Setting sail from Puerto Pañuelo, on the Llao Llao peninsula, this excursion invites you to visit the Centinela islet, where the remains of Perito Francisco Pascasio Moreno, father of National Parks in Argentina, rest, to then arrive at the Cascada de los Cantaros. Then, on the way up, you can enter the lush vegetation of the Valdivian jungle, reach Lake Cantaros, the birthplace of the waterfall, where you can appreciate a larch tree that is more than 1,500 years old. You will sail just five more minutes to finally arrive at Puerto Blest, the place that has amazed tourists who visit it from the most diverse countries of the world for years. From there, you can visit the bay and see the shores of Lake Frias, whose peculiar green waters come from one of the glaciers of Cerro Tronador, the natural border between Argentina and Chile. Frías Lake Extension. This extension of the excursion leaves from Puerto Blest. 3 km are covered. by bus to Puerto Alegre. From there you take a modern boat to navigate Lake Frías. The particular green color of its waters is due to tiny particles of pulverized rock from the glacier rubbing against the walls of Cerro Tronador, whose imposing white summit stands out among the wooded landscape, a sight that can only be appreciated from the boat. After sailing for about 20 minutes, you arrive at Puerto Frías, close to the border with Chile, where you stay for a few minutes. Then the reverse route is made towards Puerto Pañuelo.
